Brynildsen takes maiden Production class win

After 16 stages, 348 km of driving, and some typically wild Welsh weather, Skoda Fabia 2000 driver Eyvind Brynildsen stormed to his first ever Production class victory at the final event of the 2009 P-WRC season, Rally GB. Brynildsen excluded from the Rally of Great Britain

In a shock development on Sunday evening, the winner of the Production Car World Rally Championship category of Rally GB, Eyvind Brynildsen, was excluded from the results after his car was found to be fitted with non regulation brakes. At the rally's post event scrutineering, Brynildsen's Skoda Fabia 2000 was found to be fitted with rear brake callipers which did not comply with the homologation form for the car. Brynildsen extends his P-WRC lead

Eyvind Brynildsen has emerged from some of the most challenging conditions of the season to remain out front as leader of the Production Car World Rally Championship on Rally GB. Norwegian driver Eyvind Brynildsen reached the end of the morning’s third and final stage, wound down the window of his Skoda Fabia S2000 and couldn’t help himself. Wales Rally GB: Brynildsen still out front

Eyvind Brynildsen continued to dominate the Production Car WRC field through this afternoon’s three stages on Rally GB. The Norwegian Skoda driver repeated his fastest times on the Hafren and Myherin tests to build a lead of close to a minute over his closest rival, fellow Fabia S2000 driver Patrik Sandell.
